Equine Assisted Therapy
Equine assisted therapy offers a range of benefits that promote emotional and psychological healing. Through guided interactions with horses, clients can build self-confidence, improve communication skills, and develop emotional regulation. Activities often include grooming and leading, as well as ground-based exercises like obstacle courses and team-building tasks. These activities help clients learn to trust, set boundaries, and work through challenges in a supportive environment.
The bond formed with the horses fosters a sense of responsibility and empathy, while the dynamic nature of the sessions allows individuals to work through trauma, anxiety, and depression in a nontraditional, hands-on way. As clients engage with the horses, they are encouraged to explore their emotions, enhance their social skills, and cultivate greater self-awareness in a safe and nurturing space.

Farm Assisted Learning
Farm Assisted Learning provides individuals and groups with a unique opportunity to work toward learning or behavioral goals while interacting with animals and immersing themselves in the healing environment of the farm. Engaging with animals such as horses, goats, and chickens fosters a sense of responsibility and connection, offering therapeutic benefits that extend beyond traditional learning methods. Activities on the farm may include animal care, feeding, grooming, and assisting with farm tasks, all of which encourage teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The tranquil farm setting also promotes relaxation and mindfulness, allowing participants to connect with nature and reduce stress. As individuals work with animals in a supportive environment, they are encouraged to set goals, improve emotional regulation, and develop valuable life skills, all while experiencing the therapeutic power of the farm and its animals.

Groups
Our Equine Assisted Therapy and Farm Assisted Learning programs offer a variety of group sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of participants. These groups provide a supportive environment where individuals can work together to achieve therapeutic and developmental goals while engaging with animals and the farm. Activities include team-based tasks such as animal care, farm chores, and equine interactions that foster communication, trust, and collaboration.
We also partner with local organizations, mental health facilities, and community groups to create customized programs specific to their needs and clientele. By tailoring each group’s activities and goals, we ensure that participants receive targeted support that aligns with their unique challenges and objectives. These partnerships help provide meaningful, impactful experiences for individuals, building a sense of community and personal growth while benefiting from the therapeutic environment the farm offers.
Why Horses?
Horses play a unique and profound role in equine assisted therapy due to their ability to mirror human emotions and behaviors. These majestic animals are highly sensitive to nonverbal cues, which allows them to respond authentically to a person’s body language and emotional state. This creates a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to engage in self-reflection and emotional growth.
The bond formed between a person and a horse encourages trust, communication, and connection, offering a powerful therapeutic experience. Horses also help to ground clients in the present moment, making them an ideal partner in healing trauma, building self-awareness, and developing emotional resilience.
